During the week of May 18, IRRADIA ENERGÍA executed and started up two solar photovoltaic installations for self-consumption in two egg farms in Cartaya (Huelva).
A total of 42.24kWp was installed, contributing to provide a large part of the energy demand required for refrigeration and good care of the laying hens and subsequent conservation of the eggs.

technology allows an optimal synergy with this type of business, since in the seasons with more hours of sunshine they have a greater need for energy supply for cooling. Therefore, the savings from photovoltaic self-generation of these facilities can reach more than 80% of the electricity consumption.
