Irradia Energía has acquired a Tesla Model and to conduct tests in which they can observe, in first person, the possible drawbacks that can lead to travel by electric vehicle throughout the Iberian Peninsula.
This summer, a Seville – Vigo trip was made; the outbound trip was made through Spanish territory and the return trip through Portuguese territory. Throughout this journey a multitude of charging points have been used, including those of Endesa, Iberdrola, Tesla and Electro Maps.
The itinerary followed in the described trip has been: Seville – Merida – Salamanca – Cacabelos – Las Médulas – La Ribeira Sacra – Vigo – Lisbon – Faro – Seville.
Irradia Energía’s feeling is that there is still a lack of electric infrastructures in Spain, with this issue being somewhat more advanced in Portugal, but even so, Irradia Energía believes that electric mobility is viable throughout the Peninsula.
It is true that this type of travel is more difficult than the conventional ones due to the need to plan the stops in advance, and therefore, this fact conditions to a certain extent the itinerary to be followed. It has been contemplated, that there should be more slow charging points at night, since slow charging is more economical and increases the durability of the batteries.
In conclusion, Irradia Energía believes that electric mobility is already a reality and, therefore, a business opportunity and a necessity for the energy transition.
Irradia is committed to noise-free, fun and clean driving.
