Irradia Energía is a collaborating entity and has developed several projects within this aid program, which since May has received more than 6,400 applications from citizens, SMEs and local entities.
The Regional Government of Andalusia will increase by an additional 13.76 million euros the budget earmarked for solar installations, including self-consumption photovoltaic installations, from Regional Incentive Program for Sustainable Energy Development in Andalusia 51 million to promote the use of renewable solar energy in the Autonomous Community with ERDF funds under the REACT-EU Thematic Objective.
In just two months since these incentives were reopened with 37.3 million last May 12, more than 6,400 applications have already been made for actions for the use of renewable solar energy, with an associated incentive of 34 million that will mobilize an investment of close to 96 million in the region, with more than 98% of them for self-consumption with photovoltaic.
Collaborating entity
Irradia Energía is a collaborating entity and has developed several projects within this aid program which, until the end of July, more than 80% have been carried out by individuals, including homeowners’ associations, which will receive aid amounting to 15 million euros.
Irradia Energía provides future users with specialized and independent technical advice on the design and sizing of their installations and can accompany them both during implementation and throughout the life of the installation.
Given future forecasts in the photovoltaic self-consumption installations sector, Irradia Energía recommends future users to entrust the project and incentive management to companies established in their area and with sufficiently proven experience.
Regional Incentive Program for Sustainable Energy Development in Andalusia
Small and medium-sized companies, on the other hand, although they represent 17% of the applications received, will make the largest investments, 53 million euros, since they will undertake higher power installations, and will also receive incentives for 15 million euros. Local entities complete this distribution of applications by making investments in solar technology for more than 4.7 million euros, with an incentive of 3.7 million euros in aid.
In terms of provincial distribution, Seville is where most applications have been submitted, 2,888, with an associated incentive of more than 12.4 million euros. They are followed by Cordoba and Malaga, with 765 and 751 applications, respectively, which would receive 4 and 5.4 million euros in aid. Granada, with 475 applications and close to 4.1 million; Jaén with 465 and almost 2.1 million incentives; Cádiz, with 452 and close to 2.3 million; Almería, with 322 applications and 2.3 million in aid; and Huelva, with 289 and 1.4 million, close the provincial distribution.
To these funds will be added the more than 100 million euros in aid from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan for facilities linked to self-consumption and storage with renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector, whose call will be published in September by the Andalusian Energy Agency, an entity attached to the Regional Ministries of the Presidency, Public Administration and the Interior and Finance and European Funding. It will set the deadline for the opening of this new Program in Andalusia, which will be in force until December 31, 2023 or the exhaustion of the funds.
